It's the start of a new semester and it's also time once again to start planning for the New York Student Aid Alliance Advocacy Day.

This year's event will be on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 in the "Well" at the Legislative Office Building in Albany. Registration is now open! Click here to register your group

Students gathered at the 2015 Student Aid Advocacy Day

2018 Student Aid Advocacy Day will be similar to prior year's events -- we will kick off with a speaking program, including an open mic "speak out" section where students can share their personal stories about student aid, followed by the chance for your group to talk directly with legislators about the importance of student aid. We will also have a photo booth and some social media engagement opportunities -- much more on that later!

Leading up to Student Aid Advocacy Day we will be using this blog to share data on the critical student aid program we will be advocating for in February including TAP, STEP and CSTEP, HEOP and the Liberty Partnerships Program. Stay tuned to learn lots more about those critical programs and the impact they have on students across New York.
